We are pleased to announce that we have joined the family at BQ Grills and are offering the new VDS (Vertical Direct Smoker). These models are built heavy duty with 14g interior and exterior walls. All joints are solid welded to prevent rust out areas that you see with other brands that use a lapping method with thinner gauge materials and pop rivets or screws. We use a 2" thick 1400 degree insulation. This gives an average burn time of 1.5 - 2.5 hours per pound of charcoals depending on cooking temperatures desired. We are building 3 sizes for you to choose from. All are direct fired units, using a grease catch pan design located between the coal rack and the cooking racks. The bottom of the unit is tappered to a 1-1/4" drain valve for easy cleaning. There is also a ash catch pan for easy removal of burnt fuel.
